Douglas D. Hendrick

I am originally from Maine. I have lived in Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Franken (Franconia), a region in the northern part of the German state of Bayern (Bavaria). I now live in Maryland where I work as an auditor for the U.S. government. I am also a lawyer. I have a plethora of hobbies, I am a Jäger (hunter) and I have a German Jagdschein (hunting license) and a Bavarian lifetime fishing license. I also enjoy sailing, photography, home brewing/winemaking, archery, and motorcycling and I am interested in building wooden boats.
I have a developmental/test wiki and I have a blog that used to be located here but got sorely out of date and I wanted to make room for this page. I am slowly working on them but if you want to see them both can be found here:
These are also me:
LinkedIn (a professional networking site)
Xing (a professional networking site popular in Europe and Asia)
I am a member of the bar in Maine and New Hampshire and several federal jurisdictions (see where here), although I am currently inactive in New Hampshire. I am of counsel to the law firm Maine Legal Associates, P.A., where I was formerly a partner. Prior to that, I had a solo practice in Maine.
I am also a Judge Advocate in the US Army Reserve as Defense Counsel in the 154th Legal Operations Detachment (Trial Defense Services). I previously served as a Judge Advocate in the Maine Army National Guard and with the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, 7th United States Army Joint Multinational Training Command.
I am a member of the following professional and fraternal associations:
New Hampshire Bar Association (Membership is mandatory for members of the New Hampshire Bar)
Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States VFW) (Life Member)
Mystic Tie Lodge No. 1032 of the American Canadian Grand Lodge (ACGL) within the Vereinigten Großlogen von Deutschland (VGLvD)
If you want to know more about me, I have a more detailed bio/c.v.
The opinions on this internet domain do not reflect the official position of the U.S. Government nor is my office such that I could make statements on its behalf. Although I am an attorney and a U.S. Government employee, I am not an attorney for the U.S. Government (except in my very limited duties as a Reserve Judge Advocate).
